Tradables and Non-tradables

Greetings from the best city to live in in India! Check out these prices:

- Gasoline (unleaded 95 octane): $1.70/gallon
- Haircut (men's, basic trim): $2.50

The first is not surprising given the resource boom, but that's precisely what makes the second surprising. Given all we'd learned in PED-119 about haircuts, I had originally planned to get mine done in Somerville which I assumed cheaper. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my strategy needed rethinking. So I am currently sporting cheap fuel in my tank and slick Keralan style on my head.
