Going Hoosier

A 1,000 miles drive west from Cambridge and we parked in Indianapolis.
For the summer, I have swapped crimson for red - Harvard for Lilly.
Big Pharma has public policy departments big time...
My objective is to disentangle the interplay of price controls and health technology assessment that leads to the death spiral of pharmaceutical prices.
Brainwashed by our dismal scientists, I recall that at the time of death T hits the infinity and the representative consumer eats up all her wealth. Since the transversality condition binds, Pareto plays no Ponzi, Monsiuer Lagrange despises both  Mr. Hamilton and comrade Slutsky, deworming brings about positive externalities and proves to be cost-effective... Pretty scary, but, man, I still have to look for second-best solutions...
Seriously speaking, what we have learnt is very useful in the project, the mantra "correlation is not causation" in particular.
Lilly is a terrific company: great people, great vision, great products.
Indy is a nice place - green like Kyrgyzstan, but without mountains. My girls like it here a lot. Chicago is just 4 hours away by car. I know what the Cubs, Pacers, and Symphony on the Prairie are. In short, going Hoosier.

Missing you all and wishing you an interesting and fulfilling summer,
ASM and Family
